Básicamente, consiste en dos films comprimidos que absorbe la luz del sol y genera oxígeno e hidrógeno. El hidrógeno se puede utilizar fácilmente para celdas de energía. El principal problema de esta tecnología es el costo de los metales utilizados, pues utiliza platino principalmente.
